Instead of a Choral Evensong on 3rd June (which was to have replaced the one postponed on the eve of the Queen’s accession) there is to be a Civic Service at 11.15 a.m. where the choir is hoping to sing some of the music prepared for the original Choral Evensong.

Unfortunately the Choral Evensong we had planned for the eve of the Queen’s accession had to be cancelled at very short notice due to an electricity failure. We are hoping to re-plan that service for the 3rd June which is the weekend of the anniversary of the Coronation.

On the 5th February at 6.30 p.m. we shall be singing a Choral Evensong in honour of the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the throne. The anthem will be Handel’s Zadok the Priest and the canticles are Noble in B minor.

On July 10th, 2010, the Choir sang Choral Evensong at the Abbey Church, Dorchester on Thames. Here is a video of of the introit.
